TAG provides proxy subscription configuration, which is used with proxy-oriented clients (Clash-family apps, v2rayNG, Shadowrocket, sing-box). It serves a similar practical purpose to a VPN — routing your traffic through a remote node — but the client-based, subscription-link model works differently from a typical VPN app.
